May Bank Holiday Closure - 25/05/15
Knowledge and Library Services at Whipps Cross and Newham will be closed on Bank Holiday Monday, the 25th of May.
For book returns to Newham, please use the book return box by the first floor entrance to the Education Centre. For book returns at Whipps Cross, please use the book return box near the entrance to the Medical Education Centre. You can also contact us by email at library.enquiry@bartshealth.nhs.uk and we will respond as soon as possible when the libraries reopen on Tuesday 26th of May 2015.

Knowledge Awareness Week (18-24 May)
Barts Health NHS Trust Knowledge and Library Service is offering a programme of activities for staff to mark Knowledge Awareness Week 18 - 24 May, as follows

- Pop-up library stalls to be held at Barts Health sites
- Lunch-time workshops on evidence-based practice
- Resource presentations and drop-in sessions
- Library crossword puzzle competition for all staff
- Photography competition (Contact Shamima Akther, Library Assistant, Tel: 020 7363 8016)
- Locating evidence-based information to improve patient care
- Conducting literature searched for systematic reviews
- Finding the information you need for clinical research
- Getting access to books, journal articles, and many more

DynaMed provides access to the best available evidence for making informed clinical decisions. You can access this resource from the ‘I want to’ menu on the right hand side of every Barts Health intranet page, or by logging into your NHS OpenAthens account and selecting ‘My resources’ and then ‘EBSCO databases… DynaMed’.
